Im Rahmen der Berlinale findet am 17. Februar die Veranstaltung 'Closing the Gap' zur Gleichberechtigung in der Filmindustrie statt, das vom WIFT (Women in Film and Television Germany) organisiert wird. Dabei geht es in verschiedenen Panels darum, Möglichkeiten auszuloten, die eine Geschlechterparität in der Filmindustrie bis 2020 herstellen können.

Für Mitglieder des WIFT ist die Teilnahme kostenlos, ansonsten kostet sie 15 Euro, inklusive Getränken und Verpflegung. Anmeldungen über diese Website, das Programm der Konferenz lautet wie folgt:
